Skytona Platform Terms of Service
The agreement that governs your Skytona Platform software subscription. Written in plain English.
Last updated: July 7, 2026
The service
Skytona Platform is a subscription software workspace from Skytona for running your business: client records, projects and pipelines, proposals, contracts and payments in one place, scheduling and booking pages, messaging, and branded portals for your own clients. The features available to you are those included in your selected plan, shown in the plan picker when you subscribe and in your workspace settings afterward.
These terms are between Skytona and the business that owns the workspace (the "Customer", "you"). By accepting them, you confirm you are authorized to bind that business. The Skytona Platform is a distinct product from Skytona's media production and retainer services, which are governed by their own agreements.
Your account
- Access is currently granted by request: you request access, Skytona reviews and approves, and you set up your workspace. Skytona may decline a request at its discretion.
- Keep your account information accurate and your login credentials secure.
- You may invite team members to your workspace and assign them roles. You are responsible for what the people you invite do in your workspace.
- One person on your account is the workspace owner. Certain actions (billing, cancellation, data export, team management) are reserved for the owner or the roles the owner designates.
Subscription and fees
- Skytona Platform is sold as tiered plans, billed monthly or yearly. The price, billing cadence, and included features for your plan are those shown in the plan picker at the time you subscribe or change plans, and they form part of this agreement.
- Early access: while Skytona Platform is in its early-access period, Skytona may provide your workspace at no charge or at a discounted rate. When standard billing begins for your account, Skytona will give you advance notice, and your continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the applicable plan pricing. You may cancel instead at no cost.
- Fees are charged in advance for each billing period and are non-refundable except where these terms say otherwise or the law requires it.
- Plan upgrades take effect immediately with prorated charges. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing period.
- Payment processing fees charged by the payment processor on transactions with your own clients are separate from your subscription and are disclosed where you configure payments.
Your data
- Your data belongs to you.The records you and your team put into your workspace, including your clients' information, files, messages, and documents, are yours.
- How Skytona stores, protects, retains, and deletes that data is described in the Data Handling Terms, which are part of this agreement.
- You can export your data yourself from your workspace settings during your subscription and for 30 days after it ends.
Your clients
- Skytona Platform includes portals and communication tools for your own clients. Your relationship with your clients is yours: their contracts, pricing, deliverables, and disputes are between you and them.
- You are responsible for having the right to put people's information into your workspace, and for obtaining any consents required for messages you send through the platform, including email and text message consent under applicable law.
- Skytona provides the tools. It is not a party to agreements between you and your clients.
Acceptable use
- No spam, deceptive outreach, or manipulative follow-ups through the platform. Messaging tools respect recipient consent, and Skytona may suspend messaging features that generate abuse complaints.
- No unlawful, infringing, or fraudulent content or activity.
- No reselling, sublicensing, or white-labeling the Skytona Platform service itself. Branded portals for your own clients, where included in your plan, are part of the service and are not resale.
- No attempting to probe, disrupt, or access workspaces or data that are not yours.
Skytona may suspend an account that violates this section, with notice where practical.
Skytona access to your workspace
Skytona staff can access your workspace to provide support, investigate problems, and operate the service. Every such access is logged. Skytona does not use your workspace data to compete with you and does not sell it. The Data Handling Terms describe this in full.
Availability and support
- Skytona provides the service with reasonable skill and care, but it is provided "as is": no specific uptime level is guaranteed at this stage, and features may change as the product improves. Material feature removals affecting your plan will be communicated in advance.
- Support is available through the help center and the support channel shown in your workspace.
Intellectual property
- Skytona owns the platform, its software, and its branding. Your subscription is a license to use the service, not a transfer of any ownership in it.
- You own your content and data. You grant Skytona the limited license needed to host, process, back up, and display it in order to run the service for you.
- Feedback you choose to send about the product may be used by Skytona to improve it, without obligation.
Suspension, cancellation, and termination
- Cancellation by you: you may cancel from your workspace settings at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then. Fees already paid are not refunded on cancellation.
- Suspension and termination by Skytona: Skytona may suspend or terminate for non-payment, for violation of the Acceptable use section, or for abusive treatment of Skytona staff following one written warning.
- After the subscription ends: your workspace enters a 30-day grace window in which you can export your data or reactivate. After the grace window, the workspace is archived and access ends. Records Skytona is required to keep for legal, tax, or accounting reasons (such as signed contracts and paid invoices) are retained for up to 7 years as described in the Data Handling Terms.
Changes to these terms
Skytona may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be sent to the workspace owner by email with reasonable advance notice, and continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept a material change, you may cancel before it takes effect.
Limitation of liability
Each party's total liability under this agreement is limited to the fees paid by the Customer in the 3 months preceding the claim. Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost business. Nothing in this section limits liability for a party's willful misconduct or for amounts owed under the Subscription and fees section.
Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Maine, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
