Cookie Policy

A clear explanation of how and why we use cookies across our platform. No surprises, no hidden tracking.

01

What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, tablet, or phone) when you visit a website. They are used by virtually every website on the internet and serve a range of purposes, from keeping you logged in to remembering your preferences.

Cookies can be categorized in two ways:

By who sets them

  • First-party cookies are set directly by Skytona. These cookies come from our domain and are used to operate our platform and remember your settings.
  • Third-party cookiesare set by external services we integrate with, such as payment processors or video players. These cookies are governed by the respective service's own privacy policy.

By how long they last

  • Session cookies are temporary. They exist only while your browser is open and are automatically deleted when you close it.
  • Persistent cookies remain on your device for a set period of time (or until you manually delete them). They allow our platform to recognize you when you return.
02

How We Use Cookies

We use cookies for three reasons: to make our platform work correctly, to remember your preferences, and (only with your permission where the law requires it) to understand how our pages perform and whether our marketing is working.

We do not sell cookie data to third parties. We do not use invasive behavioral tracking networks, and any analytics or marketing measurement we run is disclosed on this page and controllable through your cookie preferences.

Our philosophy: collect only what serves a clear, legitimate purpose. Every cookie on our platform exists because it improves your experience or protects the security of your account. If a cookie does not meet that standard, it does not belong here.

The sections below detail exactly which cookies we use, what each one does, who sets it, and how long it lasts.

03

Essential Cookies

Essential cookies are required for our platform to function. Without them, core features like authentication, security, and routing would not work. These cookies cannot be disabled without breaking critical functionality.

Note: Disabling essential cookies will prevent you from logging in to any Skytona portal (portal.skytona.com, app.skytona.com) and may disrupt your experience on skytona.com.

Authentication

When you log in to the Skytona platform, cookies are set to manage your session. These keep you securely logged in as you navigate between pages. They include an access token for verifying your identity and a refresh token for renewing your session without requiring you to log in again. These expire when you log out or after the session timeout period.

Security

We use a CSRF token cookie to protect against cross-site request forgery. This ensures that form submissions and actions originate from our platform and not from a malicious third party. This cookie is session-based and is regenerated with each session.

Routing

Our hosting infrastructure uses cookies to route your requests to the correct server. This ensures consistent performance and reliable page delivery. These cookies are session-based and contain no personal information.

04

Functional Cookies

Functional cookies remember your choices and preferences to enhance your experience on our platform. They are not strictly necessary for the site to operate, but removing them means you will need to re-select your preferences on each visit.

Theme Preference

Skytona supports both light and dark display modes. When you select a theme, a cookie stores that preference so it persists across visits and page loads. This is a persistent cookie with a duration of 1 year.

Configurator Progress

If you are using our wedding configurator or business diagnosis tool, a session cookie temporarily saves your inputs and progress. This prevents you from losing your selections if you navigate away or accidentally close the page. The data is cleared when your browser session ends.

Language and Locale

We store your regional and language preferences in a persistent cookie so that date formats, currency displays, and content are presented in the format most relevant to you. This cookie has a duration of 1 year.

05

Third-Party Cookies

Third-party cookies are set by external services integrated into our platform. We select these partners carefully and only integrate services that are essential to our operations. Each third-party service has its own privacy policy governing how it handles cookie data.

Payment Processing

When you access a page with a payment form (such as during booking or purchasing a package), our payment processor sets cookies to detect fraud and process transactions securely. These cookies are only active on pages that contain payment forms.

Video Playback

When you view video content in the Cinema Room or on our marketing pages, our video hosting provider sets cookies for playback functionality and basic analytics (such as play count and watch duration).

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages visitors find useful: aggregate page views, traffic sources, and general engagement. We use this to improve the site, not to build advertising profiles of individual people.

Marketing Measurement

When we run advertising campaigns, we may use a measurement tag (such as the Meta Pixel) to see whether those campaigns actually bring people to our site. It measures our ad performance; we do not sell or share your data for other companies' advertising.

Your consent comes first where the law requires it: if you are visiting from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, neither analytics nor marketing cookies load until you allow them through the cookie banner. You can accept all, decline all, or choose per category, and change your mind at any time on this page.

06

Managing Your Cookies

You have full control over the cookies stored on your device.

Cookie Preferences

Use the control below to review or change your analytics and marketing cookie choices. Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland are asked before anything optional loads; everyone can adjust their preferences here.

Browser Settings

Most browsers also allow you to view, manage, and delete cookies through their settings. Below are instructions for the most common browsers.

  • Google Chrome:Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies and other site data. You can block third-party cookies, clear cookies on exit, or manage exceptions per site.
  • Mozilla Firefox:Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data. Firefox also offers Enhanced Tracking Protection with Standard, Strict, and Custom levels.
  • Safari:Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data. Safari blocks cross-site tracking by default through Intelligent Tracking Prevention.
  • Microsoft Edge:Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Manage and delete cookies and site data. Edge offers Basic, Balanced, and Strict tracking prevention.

You can also clear all cookies at any time through your browser's history or privacy settings.

Important: Disabling essential cookies will prevent you from logging in and will break core platform functionality, including payment processing and session management. Disabling functional cookies means preferences (such as your theme selection) will not persist between visits.

Third-Party Opt-Out

For cookies set by third-party services, you can refer to each provider's own privacy policy for specific opt-out mechanisms. The provider names listed in the Cookie Details table above can be used to look up their respective policies. You can also contact us at privacy@skytona.com if you need guidance.
