Prepare for your Story Call
What the Story Call is, why it changes the film, and how to arrive ready so the hour works as hard as possible for your wedding.

Why we do Story Calls
The Story Call is where logistics and meaning meet. Your Blueprint tells us what happens and when. The Story Call tells us why it matters: the relationships, the histories, the private jokes, the moments that cannot be understood from a timeline alone.
This is what makes the film feel specific to you rather than assembled from a template. It also lets us move through the wedding day with intention instead of guesswork, because we already know where the emotional weight of the day lives.
You book the call
Pick a time from the scheduling area in your portal.
We talk story
An easy conversation about your people, your history, and your day.
The plan sharpens
What we learn flows into your Blueprint and the wedding day plan.
The film gets personal
The edit is guided by what actually matters, not assumptions.
What the call is actually like
It is a conversation, not an interview. There are no wrong answers and nothing to rehearse. We will ask about how you met, the people around you, what you are most excited about, and what makes you nervous. Couples routinely tell us it was the moment the wedding started feeling real.
Plan for about an hour, together if possible. Speakerphone on a couch works. So does a video call with coffee.
How to arrive ready
You do not need homework, but a little preparation makes the hour dramatically more useful.
- 1Fill in your Blueprint firstEven partially. The more we already know, the more of the call goes to story instead of logistics.
- 2Think about your must-film peopleWho should we recognize by name on sight? Who traveled farthest? Who will make you cry?
- 3Surface the hidden momentsPrivate vows, letters, surprise dances, gifts: tell us everything planned that is not on the public timeline.
- 4Name the boundariesFamily dynamics, guests who prefer to stay off camera, moments to handle gently. Telling us is how we protect you.
Surprises stay surprises
Anything you share about a surprise stays between you and the team. We plan around it quietly, and the moment lands on camera without being spoiled.
